“Rooted in Place: Why Local Suppliers Make Rural Events Extraordinary”

At Country Space, we don’t just support rural venues — we champion the countryside. Every barn, field, and heritage hall in our portfolio tells a story of resilience, regeneration, and rural pride. But it’s not just the spaces that matter — it’s the people behind them. From the florist who grows wild blooms on her family farm, to the baker using flour milled just down the lane, our events are powered by local suppliers who bring authenticity and heart to every experience. Choosing rural venues means choosing community, sustainability, and a deeper connection to the land. This month, we’re celebrating the partnerships that make it all possible — and inviting you to discover how local sourcing transforms not just events, but entire regions.

“When you buy from a local farmer, you’re not just buying food — you’re investing in a story, a landscape, and a way of life worth preserving.”

Episode 9 " The Art of The Stretch

This episode is a celebration of canvas, creativity, and community. We sat down with Katherine and the team at House of Hud — the visionaries behind Arabian tents, pearl tents and chillout lounges that transform rural spaces into unforgettable event experiences. From choosing the right structure for your setting to layering textures, lighting, and local flair, this conversation dives deep into what makes a marquee not just functional, but magical. Whether you're planning a corporate retreat, a countryside wedding, or a wellness weekend, discover how the perfect marquee can elevate your event and support local suppliers in the process.

House of Hud - Arabian Tents

Springing from a love of outdoor parties, The Arabian Tent Company was founded in 2004 by Katherine Hudson.

The magic of festivals and marquee parties captured Katherine’s imagination, and ever since she has designed, created and executed luxury marquee weddings, VIP areas, festival tents and large scale corporate events across the UK, and brought delight and wonder to hundreds of home celebrations.

Lovingly designed and curated since 2004 our collection of unusual marquees, furniture and decor to hire is now the largest in the UK.

Inspired by our travels, the collection is not just Arabian influences, we have a huge array of marquee interiors and matching furnishings in a multitude of styles as well as the ethnic influences that originally inspired us. These include an ‘Arts and Crafts’ William Morris style marquee interior, quintessentially English garden party marquees, tea party tents, luxury canvas wedding marquees as well as the Arabic, Moroccan and Bollywood style tents which were the original source of inspiration for the collection.
